I end up in a lot of boring places. Airports, chain hotels, industrial estates. Drab buildings where functionality supersedes any aesthetic. Financial constraints dictating the mundane. The world most of us inhabit. Photographing Boring Places is my journey through mediocrity, an antithesis of the hyper reality that surrounds us, in the media, advertising, influencers, who in their own way are mundane, peddling the same old aspirations that don’t exist.
Photographing Boring Places was designed to be a ‘print only’ zine, available wherever I’d left it, however Covid changed all that and I was forced to create a digital copy. New editions are available in print, but if you can’t be bothered to scour the country for a copy, you can download them all below.
